Terry, I know Ty Van Burkelo opted out as the Indians’ batting coach this year. Is there any reason to believe this had an effect on the poor hitting shown by the Tribe this season? What do the Indians think overall of his performance? We’ve had good hitters, but overall the past few years the offense seems to be lackluster. Jim Manak Dallas, TX

Hey Terry, How are teams going to assess minor league talent (for trades) when the vast majority of the players did not play? Of the players that DID spend time at spring training facilities, is any of that information being shared among organizations? It seems there could be a considerable amount of risk involved in these deals. Cal Carlisle Shaker Heights

Whatever happened to Ryan Merritt? He pitched one of the biggest games in Tribe history and then disappeared off the face of the earth. I know he was out of options but I haven't heard if he had success with another team. Seems strange that he was out of options when he had only been in the big leagues for a short time.

Thomas Prosek, Parma Ohio. When is there going to be a writer that will point out that the drafting of everyday players by the Indians is not very good. And keep reminding ownership that point. Plus, winning division crowns are meaningless.

Hey Terry. Obviously the Indians need to nail the Lindor trade to set the team up for it's next window of contention. The rotation looks set until at least 2025, with a surplus of major-league ready arms. Which SP could you see the Indians moving to plug a hole until some of our homegrown position players are ready? Ryan Carey Manhattan, NY (Born and raised in Cleveland)

Hey Terry, Eric Fitch, Marietta, OH (originally from Monroeville in Huron County) Any reporting out of the group which is looking at a potential name change for the Indians? It seemed to be a hot topic @ the beginning of the Season and then went under the radar? Thanks!

Hey Terry, The Tampa Bay story is incredible. Is it lightning in a bottle? Can it be repeated in Cleveland in 2021 even with the departures? Mike Bowers, Clarence Center New York.

Eric Jolly Lakewood is Bauer that deep in the doghouse that even with no outfield offense this year he wasn't given a shot? Is he Bradley or Naylor the odds on favorite for 1st base next year?

Hey Terry, why not pick up Hand’s option and trade him, Even if they have to pay part of the salary. They have to pay 1 million if they release him. Teams are always looking for lefty relievers.

Hey Terry, The Cleveland Indians "lost tens of millions of dollars more than we expected" in 2020. How do the Cleveland Indians and other MLB teams absorb these losses? Mike Brubaker Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

Hey Terry, Any chance Francona moves to advisory position and Sandy is elevated? I would hate to lose Alomar to another team.

Hey Terry! Whose options do you think the Indians should pick up ? Brad Hand 10 million, Carlos Santana 17.5 million or Roberto Perez 5.5 million ? If Lindor leaves do you see any talented prospects in our farm system that can help the Indians this coming season? Maria Ortiz Cleveland Ohio

Hey Terry, When the Indians trade Francisco Lindor- do you think they will get Major League ready players in return or just solid prospects? Bob Rosen- Solon, Ohio

Hey Terry, What are the Tribe's and MLB's plans for their minor league affiliates? Fritz Johnson New Philadelphia OH

Hey Terry, in the event Tito has just a partial recovery, do you see Alomar being named Manager with Tito as either a bench coach and/or some sort of management position? It sure sounds like his illness is more serious than has been widely known.

Hey Terry, why did Ryan Merritt not pitch longer for Cleveland? Lake Odessa, MI

Hey Terry, What is it going to take for the baseball writers/voters to induct Omar Vizquel in the hall of fame? Greg A/Mayfield, Ohio

Hey Terry. Considering the Tribe will lose Lindor and with them holding team options on two expensive contracts in Hand and Santana (which I doubt they will exercise), will they spend some of that money to re-sign Cesar Hernandez? Also, do you expect for Daniel Johnson to get a legitimate shot in the outfield next year?

Hey Terry, which outfielder(s) does the Tribe NEED to keep? Mike Williams Copley, OH

Hey Terry, I love that you get these questions from the fans. Here is my question: Assuming we trade Lindor, which seems to be a forgone conclusion, what is the realistic return expected? An everyday OF, some prospects in the lower levels and how many teams out there are actually going to be interested, considering the financial restraints going into next year? Thanks! Scott Webber Avon Lake

Hi Terry. If the Indians move Lindor and do not bring back Santana, Hernandez, and Hand, then what will the fans have to look forward to next season? It seems like a waste of good pitching if we have a team full of triple-A hitters. Jim Strub, Tallmadge, OH

Does Tribe thoroughly scout Cuban players? Mayfield heights.

Hey Terry: steve McMillen in Wooster. What are we doing about acquiring a couple major league outfielders??

Hey Terry do you forsee a hard cap ever? Could the pandemic change the tide? If revenue sharing, welfare system, doesn't have the money to share...could we possibly get a real hard cap ala the NFL....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Pitchers and a strong bat in return
